PETER GAST SHIPPING are highly specialised ship brokers, whose clients and customers tend to be shipowners and who act as important middlemen in the selling, buying and chartering of ships.

We are often compared to estate agents, which we don't like and which is somewhat unfair, dealing as they do with a commodity that is technically complex in an international market which is quite extraordinary volatile. Our team has to know the market, advise our clients on the direction it is likely to take, and we must have a good knowledge of ships and their owners.

Ships are assets, and asset play remains an important feature of the shipping industry.
